Payette County Fair – 2024
Welcome to the Payette County Fair and all the quilts that are found there!
This is a really nice small quilt hanging, I like how all the colors tie together, the patchwork of the hearts, the applique work and little details of beads, buttons, and extra stitchery added for that 3d effect.
This is a fun thing to do with a quilt, it looks like a panel that was chopped up and then re-assembled with some pieces missing for what I call a deconstructed quilt…but I really like the whole effect of it with the twine attaching the blocks to each other and then hanging from a tree brance.
Below are some other fun quilts you could see at this fair.
I really appreciate the work that go into these grandma’s flower quilts – all the handstitching required to make the hexi stars takes so much time.
Here’s a fun little geometric quilt. I like the common theme throughout tied in with the border and then really mixing up all the bold colors with it.
This art quilt was like, WOW….it really looks like a work of art…and the pencil, pen, or paint details added to the face makes it really look like a person – with a fussy cut bouquet of flowers.
Here’s a nice traditional quilt – I think this is a sawtooth star quilt pattern.
This is a nice sampler block quilt, there are repeated blocks, but there’s a lot of piecing in this one – the fabric choices make it look like a crazy quilt to me.
Although this quilt looks simplistic, minimally that time it took to stitch (cross stitch & embroider) each block had to take a significant amount of time. Great job on all the hard work put into this one.
I always look for a Halloween Quilt at every quilt display I go to and get a picture since I really enjoy that time of year, and the colors and wide variety of images associated with it. This is a fun applique quilt someone did on a nice solid orange background with a complicated border.
